Church Choir

“Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”  [Psalm 95: v1-2]

ALL SINGERS WELCOME!

"Music, fun and fellowship!"

Why not come along and share your musical talent as we lift up our voices in praise to God.

The choir rehearsals will resume in the church from 7.30pm until 9.00pm on Tuesday evenings - from the THIRD TUESDAY in September, 2009.

Interested people are invited to speak to ANN, our Choir Leader, about what's involved in terms of skills and ability. "Although much of the choir's music is in parts, you really do need to be able to sing in tune and be able to follow the music... but you don't need to be an opera singer! All you need is a love of music and a love for God."

In addition to leading the hymns at each Sunday morning service, an additional contribution to the worship service generally involves the presentation of a hymn or song of praise. In recent years, a special evening of music, based on a SONGS OF PRAISE format, has been a very successful community event involving the choir and people from our own and other local churches joining together in the singing of praise music to our God.

For choir members, a special highlight each year is the preparation and performance of a music cantata as part of the celebration of the Easter or Christmas messages, both at our own church and beyond.
