Big idea: The communion meal is meant to be something we share in equally together. If there’s discrimination, it’s not communion at all. There are two applications. Firstly, our communion ‘meals’ tend to be very personal introspective affairs – this isn’t what Paul had in mind. Secondly, how might we discriminate between rich and poor Christians outside of communion?
