Acts 16:22-24, 17:1-15;
1 Thess. 2:1-12; 1 Thess. 2:17-3:13

Key verse: 1 Thessalonians 2:4

Big idea: Paul wasn’t motivated to preach the gospel by greed, or self-interest, but out of love for God and the Thessalonians. He didn’t use tricks or demand anything personally from his converts, instead he loved them and shared with them. Paul didn’t forget about them when he left, but delighted to hear they were strong in the faith. This is all evidence of the authenticity of the gospel.
