Title verse: Proverbs 10:1b
“A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.”

Bible passages (pease read in ESV):  Prov. 10:1, 5; 13:1, 22, 24; 14:26; 15:5, 20; 17:2, 6, 21, 25; 19:13, 18, 26-27; 20:7, 11, 20, 29; 22:6, 15; 23:13-16, 19-28; 24:13-14, 21-22; 27:8, 11; 28:7, 24; 29:3, 15, 17 (see attached printout),   Ephesians 6:1-4

Big idea: Wise children are a blessing and joy to their parents, while foolish children bring sorrow. Parents and children alike are called to pursue wisdom in Christ – parents as they lovingly discipline and disciple, children as they lovingly learn and obey.
