“Are You Done Yet?” (17/5/2020 @ 5pm)

Lamentations 5;  Mark 14:32-36 Key verse: Lamentations 5:21-22 Big idea: The final lament ends the book on a note of hope mixed with sharp, even impious questions. It challenges us to come to God as our Father, and be honest with him.

“A Break in the Clouds” (3/5//2020 @ 5pm)

by

Lamentations 3:1-39, Lamentations 3:40-66 Big idea: The suffering we saw in Lamentations 1-2 continues, except that here, the clouds begin to break for the poet as he reflects on God’s faithfulness and calls for confession and deliverance. It may seem like suffering is endless, but don’t loose perspective, God is faithful and won’t chasten forever.

“Fake Emotions” (26/4/2020 @ 5pm)

by

Lamentations 2:1-10,  Lamentations 2:11-22 Key verse: Lamentations 2:20 Big idea: In this Lament the full weight of Jerusalem’s destruction is felt and the cause is unambiguously God. Jerusalem puts niceties aside and calls on God to see what he’s done. We can do the same. Video Link for Sermon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7ewYogovYw

“A City in Ruins” (19/4/2020 @ 5pm)

Lamentations 1:1-11, 12-22 Key verse: Lamentations 1:11 Big idea: This year we’re experiencing enormous pain, loss, and trauma. It’s OK to simply weep, but when you weep, weep to God.   Click this link to view the REVIVE sermon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6vC81B24Q0
